Or dance at Sublimation, watch The Daughters-in-Law’s Revolt again and finally collect that order — our wardrobe still has not arrived!

Here is Friday’s news and a few weekend plans

There is +1 Tazik at the end. Share the digest with someone you would like to take out into the city 🧡

An almost summery Saturday

An almost summery Saturday

For 10 October, Tashkent’s forecast is dry, with +25…+27°C by day and +13…+15°C at night. Easterly winds: 3–8 m/s

Sunday should stay dry in the city too. The mountains are another matter: Uzhydromet warns of possible mudflows in foothill and mountain areas on 11 October

A fifth carriage for metro trains

A fifth carriage for metro trains

Tashkent plans to buy 14 five-car trains, or 70 carriages in total, expected by the end of 2027, according to Gazeta. Trains currently have four cars

The lost-money story has a heroine

Yesterday, we wrote about $10,000 lost on the metro and returned to its owner. The metro has now released a video: a woman passenger noticed the cash first, picked it up and handed it to staff

The original Interior Ministry report credited staff with finding it. To clarify: the woman found the money; staff helped return it

So our first thanks go to her

Collect an Uzum order without the app

Collect an Uzum order without the app

After the 8 October outage, Uzum announced that warehouses and collection points had resumed work. Customers whose app still would not open were allowed to collect using the number in their SMS or the recipient’s name

Collection deadlines were extended. Before travelling, check for a ready-to-collect message: the reopening of collection points does not mean every order has arrived

The company promised a separate update on the app, website and personal accounts

The city will count dry and damaged trees

The city will count dry and damaged trees

Tashkent has ordered an inventory of diseased, dry and hazardous trees and shrubs. District heads must confirm the lists’ accuracy before environmental specialists check them, Gazeta reports

Being listed does not replace a felling permit. If someone cites a “new decision” in your courtyard, it is still worth asking which documents have been issued for the particular tree
