Hello, Tashkent!
It is Sunday, 4 October. Get the umbrellas ready as well as the basins: occasional rain is forecast, with +22…+24°C by day, falling to +17…+19°C in the afternoon. Winds may reach 10–14 m/s
If you are going out for a while, take a jacket. You will appreciate it in the evening
While the tea brews, let us see what happened in the city yesterday, what to prepare for today and where to go
Swipe on — we have put it all in order

What happened yesterday?
First, the city news from 3 October
▫️ The missing boy has been found! The five-year-old being searched for in Tashkent was found alive in Yangiyul. Tashkent Land reports that he is well and his family has gone to collect him. There is no need to keep forwarding the missing-person notice
▫️ Yangihayot is getting brighter. Street lighting is being renewed in seven mahallas, with 2,393 LED lights planned. Installation has begun in Chortoq, Khoja Uchqun, Khushnud and Jaloyir, the district administration said yesterday
▫️ A fire at a mosque under construction was put out. Yesterday, the Quddus Sharif mosque on Qipchoq Street in Yangihayot caught fire. A report citing emergency officials said the fire was extinguished at 12:04. Nobody was injured

Things to keep in mind today
▫️ The new transport fare. If this is your first bus or metro trip of the week: since 1 October, a single electronically paid journey costs 2,500 sums. Paying cash through an information kiosk costs 3,000. Check your transport-card balance
▫️ Pay when you board the bus. The operator warns that inspectors may block validators during checks. Leaving payment until later is no longer a good option. Tap when you board, then settle in
▫️ Postpone that mountain trip. For 4–5 October, Uzhydromet has warned of mudflows and flooding in foothill and mountain areas, including Bostanliq, Parkent and Ohangaron districts. A day with a calmer forecast would be a better choice
